Cool game, just got 22 secs. I'll have to try it with a
mouse rather than this awful lappy touchpad.

everything

I got 27 seconds. I was fucking around with the touchpad and
just going rapidly back and forth on it. it kept the ball in
check and got me to 17 seconds

offline roygbivcore from Joyrex.com, of course! on 2006-11-26 19:57 [#02008432]

basically the key to figure out where the bouncing ball is
gonna go and keeping the rolling one on the opposite side of
where you're gonna need to turn it

if that makes sense

It seemed that you wanted to get the rolling ball to the
place where the bouncing ball would be next, that way when
you do move the paddle to hit the bouncing ball, it has
plenty of space to roll away and you do it again. I
couldn't get more than 38 seconds at that point it was just
so fast. I have a feeling that it runs slower on some
people's computers.

37.
i felt, it starts off hard, but after awhile you can just
wing it and hope for the best.. tho, my score still sucks
compared to other peoples.

around the 40 sec point the trick is to keep both in the
middle ...i managed to do that for a sec :S

offline goDel from ɐpʎǝx (Seychelles) on 2006-11-26 23:57 [#02008484]

so yeah, it's all about ball-control :/

offline Babaouo from Dolce (Monaco) on 2006-11-28 11:02 [#02009170]

I've gotten 33 sec.

Just focus mainly on the bottom ball and use your peripheal
vision for the other. then at about 19 sec.. or every so
often switch your focus. your eye will neglect the object in
your peripheal if it has to focus on it too long.

the true secret is: its all in the wrists

offline BoxBob-K23 from Finland on 2006-11-28 11:43 [#02009193]

For a while nothing but consecutive 29's, I didn't think I'd
break the 30 mark, then I got 34.657 which is all I want.
You'll pretty much need to freeze the horizontal movement of
the ball after that point. I won't go there, I have better
things to do.

I don't think this is a good idea. After 35 secs the
bouncing ball accelerates, and simply goes too fast to
control with peripheral vision. At this point you should
rather start to control the lower ball peripheral.
By then you should already blindly know where the lower ball
is anyways (in what direction it moves, and with what
speed).
Personally, I don't just focus on one ball. It's more a
matter of switching between the two continuously (both
primary and peripheral).

and a trick to keep the lower ball from getting momentum is
'bouncing'. try to keep it in the air, so to speek.

First go using a mouse (rather than a shitty touch pad):
29.389.

I reckon on a surface where the mouse didn't 'jump'
occassionaly, I could get 35-40.

I took a screen dump! But it was because i had a lot of
stuff going, it lagged in a way that made it easy to get
that score.

BTW has anyone else played the game where you control a ball
in a small space with several differently shaped bouncing
objects that you have to avoid? That's equally
frustrating/addictive...

no, the ultra-nerds are always playing it in the computer
