isn't it "where are"?

or is it is because even though vibes is plural, it's a name
in this case?

There is only one Squarepusher vibes, so "is the" is
correct.
"Squarepusher vibes" is singular. The 's' in 'vibes' is not
signifying plurality, even though 'vibes' may be plural if
used in another context.

it would actually make more sense to call it the
squarepusher vibe.. when it's called the squarepusher vibes,
it's like each track is a squarepusher vibe and the
title squarepusher vibes is referring to the collection of
squarepusher vibe tracks.

Consider:

"Vibes is singlular" - 'is' is correct.

"Vibes are emotions" - 'are' is correct.

Same word, same meaning, different context.

that's the idea.

if you say "where is the squarepusher vibes?" you're
implying "where is the squarepusher vibes mix?".

i'd have written "where're the squarepusher vibes?" but
that's just me.

Crapsticks! Even after deleting and re-editing the post I
still spelled "singular" wrong.

and 'is' isn't correct in "Vibes is singular".

The grammar is correct, even if the meaning of the sentence
isn't accurate.

yeah, so it's more of a name, but I'd also write "where are
the squarepusher vibes" because I'd be referring to the
collection of squarepusher vibe tracks and not some mix.

it's not.

the grammar's not correct in the topic title either, but
from both examples you can, with a bit of effort, extract
the meaning.

"The word vibes is singular" or " 'Vibes' is a singular
word" are grammatical.

Fair enough. Also, I can see an argument like this lasting
longer than my remaining lunch break :)
