you know how companies select music for you to listen to
while you wait for them to answer the phone? By trying to
maximize the probability that you hang up at the risk of
your brain detonating otherwise.

I fucking hate everything (still listening to the shit)

paying to listen to mozart is very frustrating

it was eighties shit pop. If they played mozart, it'd be
something annoying, like eine kleine nachtmusik. I FUCKING
HATE EVERYTHING

The people answering the calls probably have it worse when
it comes to this unique form of torture. When I did tech
support I had to listen to the same movement from Handel's
Water Music almost every time I put someone on hold or had
transfer someone. It was a long-term thing, emotionally
scarring.

you had to listen to it yourself? how odd.

When I put someone on hold to transfer them or get them in
contact with other branches, which was all the time, I often
had to be put on hold too while I waited for the other
branch or agent to be available. It was a really sucky
system and the inexplicable music made it worse.

Couldn't you have just switched to another line and not had
to hear anything?
