Favourite alcoholic drinks?

For cocktails, I prefer rum drinks:
- Rum & Cola (and lime, optionally)
- Mojito (rum, lime juice, mint and powdered sugar)
- Fidel Castro (rum, ginger ale, lime juice)

I usually drink beer when I'm going out, though. Darker
beers for single beer enjoyment, and more regular lager
types for longer periods of drinking (Urquell, Staropramen,
Grolsch).
I can enjoy whiskey as well, but I rarely buy it.

Has anyone tried absinthe? What does that taste like?

whisky whisky whisky!

I just spent 500 kroner on a lagavulin, and I can't hardly
wait for it to grace my tongue with its flavour!

Real absinthe tastes like fire. Thats the only way i can
describe it. It has some sort of "taste", but mostly you
just feel an extreme, yet pleasant burning in your mouth,
throat and then stomach.

I hardly drink anything apart from beer and wine (lots of
it).

I like a baileys after the coffee if theres a chick visiting
or something.

Rum, Vodka and Tequila (not mixed).

Wine for food.

Beer as substitute for water (I never drink water).

And: Real absinthe is ilegal almost everywhere (the one with
hallucinogenic effects), but the legal one is good. Tastes
like fresh plants, something like eucaliptus or mint with
lots of sugar (and alcohol).

Mojito is ace, I love it.

I usually enjoy some beers, my fave is "Corona" (see the
picture) and red wine of course.

that actually depends on what you mean by real absinthe..
most of them have artemisia absinthium (the hallucinogenic
herb), but they have restricted the quantity so that "normal
consume" won't produce side-effects.

i think black russian is without coke (at least in Norway).
Black Russian is very good if Kahlua special is used!

For white russian, i have made a little improvement: add
some more coffee (then it actually taste something!) and
looks better.

Black Russian
Bygges i old fashioned glass.

Metode 1:
Ha isbiter i glasset, deretter ingrediensene. Rør med en
barskje for å blande. Pynt med en appelsinskive og et
marachinobær på spyd.

Metode 2:
Hell ingrediensene i et Old Fashioned/rocks glass, fyll opp
med knust is, rør og pynt med en appelsinskive og et
marachinobær. Sugerør.

Ingredienser
4 cl vodka
2 cl Kahlua
appelsinskive
marachinobær

Are you bringing some to Phresch tomorrow? White/Black
Russian and Irish Coffee is the only "drinks" I like. 9 out
of 10 drinks is beer or whiskey. I can also enjoy some
cognac and red whine. Developed a taste for good sangria
when I vistited Barca earlier this year.

I'm drinking a red whine which is supposed to have won
silver on the "Concours Mondial Bruxelles 2003" and it's
fantastic! Best red I have ever had!

Trainspotter info: It's a Cabernet Sauvignon (Paso Hondo:
Reserva) from Chile (2001).
