This is MP3, FLAC here The Gescom Minidisc, out again on
CD and digital. Originally released in 1998 on Russell
Haswell's OR label, this was the World's first Minidisc-only
release. Autechre wanted to make use of the seamless shuffle
play unique to the MD format and created this sequence of 88
short tracks more as art object rather than as an album,
designed to work in any order at random. As most CD players
cannot do seamless random playback (there is always a slight
delay between tracks) you digital people will get the full
MD experience as most music players (iTunes7.0 and others)
now have gapless playback even in shuffle mode.

released on bleep.com

Probably never gonna happen unfortunately. Clear closed shop
years ago. But there are flacs of this on Bleep.com so who
knows...

I know the chance is very small, but who knows.. maybe Warp
can make a sweet deal with Ae/Clear or whoever who own the
royalties.

I wonder if they cut all the little pauses at the ends of
some tracks this time. The Minidisc is nice, but it could
have been superduper.

play the mp3's with a player that supports gapless playback.
(like foobar or itunes)

playing the cd is much better than listening to the tracks
as mp3s, plus the artwork is hallarious
