Hey all, I'm new around here (well haven't been here for a long time) and thought I'd say hi by pointing people to a mix set by kid kameleon that I've been thoroughly enjoying over the last while. I find myself listening to it a lot at the moment. Nice mix of tunes. Some quite ragga stuff in there, and maybe not exactly down the aphex route.. hope that's ok! Ebauche |

Oh and I hope upon hope that the tone of that last message doesn't sound annoyed - I'm not that kind of person! I don't know how many times I've misunderstood "tone of voice" in an email/text message etc. |

I guess this is preceived as spam because you included your website address in your first two posts on this board... Maybe you don't see it this way but I can imagine people see it as spam and posting a mix that you really like is often a phrase people use to dispose own work ;) |

Ah. I see. When I first logged on I went looking for a "signature" option - basically every other forum I'm on I put my web site, blog and the record labels I'm on in a signature at the bottom. In case anyone is interested in where I'm coming from. I didn't see a signature option so figured I'd have to drop in a link at the end of each post. and then, even with the wonderfully titled "lazy link" option at the bottom I quickly bored of that and couldn't be bothered :) Apologies to the board if it looked like spam. I really really dislike spam.. I run a web design company with a friend and our old server got totally flooded with spam on 2 occasions (something like 80,000 messages stuck in the queue) - so I am avidly anti-spam and shudder to think that I might be considered spamming the board. I am always intrigued to see what music people are putting out, so I often follow people's signature links to see if they have anything I like - i suppose here it's better to just check out people's profiles? True, this forum doesn't support all that crap, even though I use a signature on other forums I'm glad xltronic doesn't have this option. Checking out profiles is the only thing to found out what people are up to. btw, I might check on that mix you posted.. it's just that I still have tons of stuff to check + there have been a lot of mixes on the board lately. If you like mixes be sure to check out our Xltronic DJ vlari. you can find his most recent mix. |

Hey Aesthetics, Thanks for the explanation :) I have just downloaded that vlari mix and am listening to now. Thanks for the tip, so far I'm liking what I'm hearing. You should check out that Kid Kameleon mix. He posts loads of stuff up on his site and I've found myself totally addicted to that Mashers without Borders one. It's quite eclectic but the changes are all very sweet. Hope it's to your liking. He seems like a good head. I mailed him after I downloaded the mix and he was very appreciative of the feedback. Nice when people get back in touch with you. :) |

hehe. I spent a while on that photo. I was asked for a photo for promo stuff for a festival I played at in Ireland this year and I'm not particularly fond of throwing my ugly mug around, so I decided I'd get on photoshop and start messing around. It's a composite of me sitting in front of my computer with my headphones on and an image of a large inflatable duck that a friend of mine had. :) Some people think it's a mask.. |
