...was a wonderful writer. I have read 'Raise high the roof beam, carpenters/Seymour: An Introduction', 'Franny and Zooey', and of course, 'Catcher in the Rye'. My favourite being 'Franny and Zooey'. Reading his books make me very happy. I think he has a few others but they are really difficult to get hold of. 'Catcher in the Rye' is pretty much the only one any book shop ever stocks, with the exception of a few second hand book shops, but that requires some serious digging.

I love the ending of "Frannie And Zooey", really heartwarming. Even for a miserable bastard like me.
Have you seen any of Wes Anderson's films? I think the family in The Royal Tennenbaums is basically the Glass family from his books.
"Catcher in The Rye" was probably the first non-science fiction novel I read of my own accord when I was about 13, really got me interested in reading.

B123: Sure I recommend Franny and Zooey. I can't really tell you what's it about. The novel is cocnerned with the two characters, Franny and Zooey. What do you know. Franny is extremely discontented and is reading a little book about a 'special kind of prayer' and Zooey is an actor who likes to soak in the bath tub for long periods of time.
Swears: I never made that connection. You're right, there are some similarities betwee the two families. I <3 Wes Anderson's movies muchly. I've seen them all about a billion times.
