A nerd-topic, but be serious. What do you prefer?
cd packaging

good music maters the most
but i only like slimline for keeping cd-rs
i like digipacks a lot
or the stanard jewel case
but its always fun to see what cardboard contraption a band
can come out with, w/or w/out the micro-scopic glasses

Yep. My favourite too. Digipak. The reason I started this
topic is that I've seen more and more cds coming in a new
packaging. Can't remember it's name, but Becks new album ia
an example. You have to press it inn at the side to open it,
and it has no "sharp" edges if you know what I mean.

digipak, all the way.

(...maybe i should say that i've never spilt anything on any
of my cds, but i have metallic cd towers that scratched my
jewel cases... of course i won't buy any more metallic cd
towers now, and all my latest cds are in (or on top of,
since i'm lacking space again) a wooden shelf, but the
damage is done.)

the thing i dont like about digipacks is when you stack them
0over years they loose some of their tuffness of the
cardboard edged, my "on" single is taking a beating

i've had them thrrough the post with prrice stickerrs on
them. that's the worrst, but i even hate it when they have
Allmusic Review **** etc... stuck on.

I like to fold a sheet of printer paper and make a sleeve,
wrte and draw shit on it, then stick it in my top drawer
with the rest.

best cd packaging is The Isness & Otherness dual sliding
action digipack

but for everyday use I say jewelcase with a cardboard
jacket. keeps fresh if you keep the shrinkwrap (use sharp
cutter to open just around the edge on one side), if not
there are loads of those to be found on blank cd-rs

mp3. Cds take up valuable space. Space taking is bad.

digipak is smart, and to me, doesnt feel as vulnerable as
the standard placky effort.

I like the all paper CD-folders who 2 track CD-singles use
to come in. It keeps the use of plastic too a minimum and
CDs (and vinyls) are just used once nowadays anyhow, since I
only play various audiofiles on my mac & iPod.
