ha ha ha ha, I never pay attention to news so maybe you all know this:
LAZY_TITLE
If you watch that episode, stan or kyle or whoever basically has matt/trey indirectly say screw you to cruise/scientology etc at the end with their constant tactics to sue (lying and sueing actually explicitly advocated in the writings of l ron hubbard I think)

Yeah, I liked that episode. I think they wanted it to get banned to create controversy and therefore, ratings for the series.

This caused the guy who does the voice for chef to leave because he's also a scientologist and they/cruise pressured him probably. So they killed chef in the show with a bear and a lion or something (and they creatively made that episode so chef could talk but only using lines from previous episodes since that actor wasn't there) I don't know how recent that was.
Actors are such rich idiots, just asking to get scammed. Probably music stars too (oh yeah, beck etc).

I'm not sure if Beck is a fully paid up scientologist. I think he has family members and associates who are involved with the church, and he is wary of offending them by distancing himself from their beliefs.

I bet scientology will be studied quite a bit because its the only religion I know of that sprang up in recent times so would make a good study of what religion is/how it arises etc. That'd be funny if christianity and others had similarly scam-y roots.

It's not the only religion that has sprung up in recent times, though... scientology actually came BEFORE the so-called Wicca movement, for example, which is supposedly an ancient religion but was developed from 1950's on. Also, let's not forget to mention all these Christian wacko cults, whether jonesian or koreshian.
Lastly, one shouldn't forget such spoof movements as the church of the subgenius, discordianism, or star wars inspired jedi religion.
