I haven't been able to download much this year, so I
haven't been that up to date. Anyway, here's my picks:

Mogwai - Mr. Beast
Mogwai returns with what could be their best album since
Young Team. A nice balance of downtempo tracks and more
rocky pieces.

Mikkel Metal - Victimizer
A beautiful album of dubby, somewhat minimalistic ambient
techno / house from this promising Dane. Sophisticated.

TV on the Radio - Return to Cookie Mountain
Beat driven indie rock. Sounds a bit like a more uptempo and
post-punky Arcade Fire. Very exciting

The new Squarepusher also sounds promising, but I haven't
listened enough to it have an opinion.

I suck at describing music
