Hi, Don't know if anyone's heard the last track off Karl Bartos' Communication, but this is kinda what I was aiming for with these samples. Stick the samples together (you will need to do some editing here and there, I was being retarded with some of them) and make artifical-but-natural sounding words. I'm gonna ask my mate if he'll write a program in Basic so I can get a text to speech synth from these samples. |

that doesn't work. you'll end up with garbage audio. it's not the way speech is produced.. speech sounds are anticipated by the mouth and so preceeding phonemes change to suit the ones that follow. |

the fact that it doesn't work smoothly is actually what is encouraging me to use them. No offense to futureimage, but if I could make those phonemes sound exactly like a bloke talking, I wouldn't use them. |

No, that's what I'm getting at! I want some weird speech sound. Listen to Another Reality from Communication by Karl Bartos and then you'll get it. I tried it earlier and it DOES work, just gotta cut the start and end off some of em. |
