I've been doing this a lot this weekend.
Artwork: Red Japan: Ghosts Lush: Nothing Natural Momus: A Complete History of... Prince: Cream New Order: Bizarre Love Triangle
All these songs just got stuck on repeat at leat half an hour each. I really should be listening to a whole album or something. It's a bit silly but it's just what I feel like doing last night/this morning.

Speaking of mp3s, I like to listen to whole albums then keep only the best songs and listen to them. On some albums, almost all songs are great and then I keep everything.
But I play CDs or vinyls though, i prefer listening to the whole thing.
Anyway I also download lots of singles/eps, which is a different way of listening than albums. Albums put you in a special mood easier and I like that!

Oh I forgot the main purpose of the topic: I never listen to a song twice in a row. If I really like it, i can play it every other song for a little period of time though (half an hour maybe). On the other hand, I like to listen to a song several times a day, but at different moments. That can go on for weeks/months/years of the song is really good!!

Right, is that the same lush who did "single girl"? I keep seeing the name mentioned in good company but, by christ, that was a terrible song. Can still hear that stupid tart's voice clanging in my head. Did they go from shoegaze to shit?
I bet it's two different bands and i typed that for NOTHING

Nope, the first album is ace, and is produced by Robin Guthrie from Cocteau Twins and is blissed out effects pedal heaven. Then a few years later, they made a really annoying britpop album. Which, you are right is total shit, then the drummer killed himself.

You're quite right. They went from a spiky arty pop band to the very worst fag end of Indie, worse than Sleeper, Camden cliche toss.

I meant yep. It's the same band. Or nope, you didn't type that out for nothing. The vocal style on the first album, is totally different by the way, very breathy like Belinda Butcher in MBV.
Awful video though.

Oh yeah! I remember the drummer offed himself now. Melody maker, page 7, "the shame of being fucking awful", something to that effect. I'll check out the first album.

Prince: Cream New Order: Bizarre Love Triangle
Cream is great, though if I were to pick one fave Prince track it'd probably be... ooh... It. Or Starfish and Coffee. Or If I Was Your Girlfriend... if it wasn't for the punchline that'd prob be my fave love song. I dunno, anything off Sign of the Times is fantastic.
New Order: Ain't Your Silent Face great? But I could never choose a fave New Order track...

Swears, have you ever heard Frente's version of Bizarre Love Triangle? It's a beautiful acoustic track, but it was debased by being used on some random teen movie that I can't remember.
