I've been giving The Campfire Headphase a good long second
listening. It really is a solid album. I find that it works
better, like a lot of electronic music for me, through
earphones. You can really hear all the intricacies that the
artists put into the album. Very nice.

That says more about you than their worst effort at crossing
over.

offline Mr Brazil from Oh Joan, I love you so... on 2006-09-08 23:31 [#01967820]

Crossing over to what? The mainstream? Top of the Billboard
Chart? Up there with Bob Dylan? Give me a break. It's
electronic "music". If it's listenable more than once then
that's what I'm going to do regardless.

I forgot you were an idiot scared of speaking in public. If
you read their interviews around this album they dissowned
'electronica' favouring 'real' music. Don't pester me or
show yourself to be idiotic. Read about it.

offline Mr Brazil from Oh Joan, I love you so... on 2006-09-09 00:00 [#01967822]
Points: 1970 Status: Lurker | Followup to JivverDicker: #01967821

So they said, in these interviews, that they were trying to
crossover? Forget it, I don't care. I don't need to know
about these people and what they think in order to like the
beats they make. Like their words will change the world.
Maybe they've changed yours. Good for you.

"I forgot you were an idiot scared of speaking in public."
Where do you get this assumption from?

@tm, campfire headphase. it's their best album. why? because
it's their most accessable. I've got loads of people into
boards of canada this year. Had no luck the years before.

and ’84 Pontiac Dream, speechless. speachless. speak less.
listen more.

Been a while since I listened to them and I don't know if
it's nostalgia or what but I'm still attached to the older
stuff, especially roygbiv and High Scores. They never get
old. Geogaddi didn't have staying power for me and TCH never
clicked.

I like Geogaddi best.

I usually go through BOC fanboyness in phases. I listen to
them a lot, then get bored, then 6 months later once again
realize their greatness.

i would say a track of the tch, as it has moments of pure
pureness, but thats maybe cause its the last released...
mmmm
dunno really!
its more difficult to identify a concret favourite track in
boc for me,
than other artist. non a top song on any album, maybe top
albums composed of tunes...
