I installed NI apps with my portable HDD plugged in. When I
unplug it, my hardware config naturally becomes "different".
When that happens, my "System ID" changes. NI apps who
recognize a different System ID from the one defined at the
time of installation require a reinstallation due to the
fact that the fucking registration app just hangs when I try
to reregister the product. FUCK OFF NI, FUCK OFF.

I forgot to mention my portable HDD got wrecked yesterday,
so ARRRGH!

I didnt have a problem with it when my external HD broked.
What do you mean by 'hangs'... freezes? There are keygens
for the NI registration tools, or im sure customer support
would help you.

I can't copy the key it gives me and if I try to type it up
it won't give me a proper key to enter the reg app again. I
can't even paste anything into it. I asked NI and they never
reply.
