Anyone like his work? It was his centenary last week and i
have been reading and listening to his work for a few
months. It was really nice to hear about the man and such.

After such an inspiring cue as "It was really nice to hear
about the man and such" it's hard to hold back the thoughts
and critical appraisals.

Everytime I pass through Slough I can't help but be reminded
of his "Come Friendly Bombs! Fall on Slough" line..

And fervently pray it comes true!...

I did have a good chuckle when I read about the fake letter
"discovered" by A N Wilson in his recently published Bio of
JB...

Apparently if you read the first letter of each sentence it
spells out "A N Wilson is a shit"...

ho ho...literary jokes are so childish but I bet JB would've
found it all v amusing...

I always liked JB's work. Very nostalgic. His poetry is
clean cut and strong. There's also something subtle that
most poets don't even get close to, and his 'between the
lines' impression is almost perfect in every poem.
