what? hero(e)s? like... conan the barber? or like lukewarm
sackwalker? in _techno_? haha I don't think so...

I have nothing against people mentioned here, but if analord
is techno, then RDJ - YMMV...

but I don't even know what techno means anymore... or even
what it used to mean. it's an umbrella concept for most,
even though for some it's something very specific.

[un]fortunately tekno admits no heroes.. those who became
'heroes' i believe they have nothing to do with tekno
anymore, tekno supposed to be anonymous.

Not rules but rather tendencies I guess.

Monoid: who are those creepy dudes? :) N'sync or something?

duh.. Then Scooter are not techno, they're just an ordinary
boy-band. ;)
BTW, how could I forget about Richie Hawtin being one 'grey
cardinal' of minimal techno. He's done a lot for this style
of music but still 'hero' isn't an appropriate word.

I would want to have a "hall of justice" of heros.

There are so many artists that have saved my world over the
years. Everytime .... they're all so awesome.

In no particular order,

Andy Stott,
Rod Modell,
Steve Hitchell,
AFX (SAW 1 is techno to my ears),
then 'usual' detroit ones (carl craig, juan atkins, etc.)
Emptyset,
Lots of the old R&S records stuff (Biosphere, Speedjack,
etc.)

Modell/Hitchell's joint project deepchord is my favourite at
the moment.
