this album is awesome!!!

From the samples on bleep it sounds really dull, to be
honest. I know that those low bit-rate samples aren't the
best way to tell if the tracks are any good, but they do
seem quite repetitive and uneventful. The new Milanese, on
the other hand, sounds wicked, even from those shitty bleep
samples. I'll definately be getting that album.

Empty The Bones is as good as ever, mind. I'd love more of
this style, especially the fist track. YEAH. Come on
mr.Clark.

It's a great release although I have the feeling it still
needs to grow on me. I noticed that the amount of voice
samples on this release is remarkable compared to his
earlier stuff.

I got the new Milanese Extended...dont get me wrong I really
like Milaneses debut EP on warp and his live set from
Birmingham is reallly nice but this album is just plain DULL
:(

very dissapointed, the last two tracks on milaneses album is
just sad to hear :/

I cant see the BOC resemblence except for one interlude....

now check out Dusk Raid while you wait for the album! its
lovely :D

Elusive and Cuntychuck: I AGREE!

thanks for reminder

i'm listening to the album again and still can't understand
the "clark is aphex twin rip-off"

"the thing is i just like to see some effort put in in
terms
of songwriting." As if RDJ was ever able to write a song ??
Jesus, Tolst, clean your ears, high time ! If you can't hear
any structures on Body Riddle then i'm really sorry for you.
No offence !

No, but he has a point. This Clark guy isn't any worse at
"songwriting" than Aphex Twin. The free track is brilliant,
btw. Maybe I'll enjoy the album once it's out.

listened probably once a day for about a week now, the first
clark record i've liked. saw him open for squarepusher a few
years ago and was underwhelmed.

this has its great moments, mostly in the first half
(springtime, herzog, ted) + i love autumnal crush, but there
are other very weak & annoying spots for me. i'm enjoying
the dead shark eyes download maybe more than the record at
the moment

for what its worth i think 'white knuckles' is a shameless
nannou ripoff

I'm a little late but I got my hands on it.

The attention to detail and atmosphere is awesome. The grit
isn't just some 'prefuse'ly obvious overlap to make
everything seem more vinyl cafe, its like this cd fell down
the cliff of a divine mountain, and it chiseled the album
into a fucking diamond. I don't care if I sound pitchfork
right now, it's been awhile since I was passionate about new
music. The genre still lives.

I still prefer clarence park even if his last two records
were good as well. when clarence was released some reviews
said it was too close to aphex or boc stuff but I still
prefer it to the rest. I think warp should find a new artist
because clark seems a classic today

Archrival.

the last two tracks on Milaneses Extend are noise/
atmospheric.

It's not the best. Dead Man Walking, Mr Ion, Caramel Cognac
(gets boring but the beat is excellent) Mr Badnews (gets a
little repetative) & Barry- are all decent tracks he's
branching out testing new waters thats all, dont write him
off yet if you were a fan of 1up.

Body riddle isnt Clark's best either wont be writing him off
because of it. He will put out some amazing shit in the
years to come I know.

my 2 cents: i completely love this album. people who dismiss
it as an aphex ripoff are either fanboys with acne, or
retarded. GET IT!

i'm still loving this album as well. the autumnal crush is
one of the most intense tracks i've heard (when played at
the proper super-loud volume level).

I heard two songs and neither was very good. Sure, the
production and sounds I like, but the melodies not so much.
It sounded too much like songs I heard. Maybe the rest will
be new an I like. Prove me wrong,

Sincerely, Chris Clark.

what i love of this album (as in the whole clark catalogue,
but specially in this one) is the ambient flow of the album,
how the tracks appear and change and fade into the next one
like a single sound source... a bit (saving the distance)
like the last ae mass sound...
