It will be a shame when this topic gets buried by so many
crappy ones.
phobiazero, if you agree to make an ad at the top of the
site that just says 'w M w' in big letters, then that should
be sufficient attention and I'll agree to leave this site,
which sucks by the way. Well there are SOME good things
about it like my posts but that's pretty much it.

seriously? black bear or grizzly (black have longer ears).
Did you provoke it/ try to back up slowly/ try to
out-intimidate it?

That is a very cool THING, aka drawering. Richard dawkings
is such a great teacher in the medium of writing. The blind
watchmaker is probably his next best. The extended phenotype
kind of repeats a little bit of the selfish gene if I
remember but also has a lot of excellent new stuff.
... I read 'the meme machine' by susan blackmore. At the end
of the book I reached a point of zen where I was pretty much
convinced I was an illusion to myself... however it should
be stressed that I was biased because at the time I didn't
want to exist... not as good as dawkings though.
"a new kind of science" was recommended by jand here I
think, and is really starting (eventually toward the
2nd half of the book) to convince me the universe really is
just the complex emergence that resulted from a simple
program/ simple rules.
Here are many of my old drawerings if you never saw them.

I really like yours. It was nice having sex with you,
sincerely,

No, not at all...

But to appease your seemingly unquenchable thirst for bear
maulings I offer this small morsel.

my brother was mauled by a bear at lake louise in canada.
him and his best friend were there celebrating the end of
their uni courses with some camping. the only thing he
remembers was smashing a rock on the nose of the bear. When
he came to his one of his kidneys and other internals were
lying next to him and his friend was slouched over their
tent, dead.
he needed 20 hours of micro surgery and 1200 staples. (maybe
12000?) which sucked becuase his travellers insurance ended
the previous day. (they decided to stay an extra week) it
finacially ruined the family and my brother is a broken
man.

thanks for asking

God damn. I do remember reading that the majority of attacks
occur in canada. That's pretty terrifying... and we're just
a bunch of pussy ass humans almost entirely removed from the
world of dinosaurs and such where such violence is the rule
not the exception. I would have nightmares about that every
night if that happened to me. I can only imagine how the
hell he got out of that predicament.. crawling back on the
trail hoping the bear is somewhere the fuck else the whole
time.. He should get an official bear medal.

Sometimes at night, i wrap myself up in my covers with
pillows and pretend i’m in a stomach with a bunch of
undigested bodies. It makes me feel all giddy :) I think
it’s the feeling of impending death and helplessness, and
the comfort of being inside the warm belly of a living
being, that get me off. Either way, I have yet to find a
partner who accepts this…

I can understand that they want to keep it all underwraps
but surely a tooth is a fair request.

You people that haven't been mauled by a bear need to
explain themselves! I haven't, but I just haven't had a
chance to go bear wrestling, yet. Just give me time...

Here is the culprit pictured before he fled the authorities
in a white 82 ford pickup with another yet to be identified
bear. Joe McDonald of the Lake Louise police department said
"while the ford was turning to peel out in front of us, the
suspect rolled down the window and shouted 'waka, waka,
waka!' at us. It chilled my bones."
Fozzie, as the culprit came to be known, was picked up in
Montana 6 days later and positively identified by the
teethmarks on your brothers kidney and the semen in his ass.

The driver, known only as 'bear', was found 3 months later.
He charged with aiding and abetting, and also given a ticket
for speeding (shown).
