On thursday I decided to bathe my frontal lobes in dextromethorphanhydrobromide. Bad Idea, because this time the trip went wrong. My heart began to race, and my mental capacity shrunk to that of a 3 year old. I had to call 911, and they brought me to the hospital. I slowly awoke from this nightmare, after about 5 hours. The psychiatrist asked if I was trying to kill myself. I left the hospital on friday |

Haha, yeh i had the same link open when i posted that, i wasn't aware the guy had rescinded some of the conclusions in his original article... still though. I think the most telling thing in there is "The bad news" is not in yet; nor is "the good news". I'm not entirely sure how comparable DXM and ketamine are in the amount of neural damage they're supposed to do (i think K is supposed to be less harmful innit?) but i know a friend of a friend who's been doing it weekends-only for 4 or 5 years now, fairly heavily admittedly, but the difference in him is noticeable now. Forgets stuff, has weird aphasia-type language things going on... gah, i know that's not exactly conclusive evidence but it's not nice to see. I'm not about to tell you what to do though, it's your brain. |

agree wholeheartedly. i get nervous whenever im on a journey that i know is going to take longer then an hour. i dont dream anymore. i get paranoid when alone and feel closed in when im around too many people. my memory is fucking disgusting short and long term (cant remember much before the age of 11) and as such my house is littered with post it notes. my concentration is awful as well. it has taken me over five minutes to type this so far. acid was my vice. never again. |

dxm is alright. i did it only twice. once it was ace. the second time it was ass. both times i puked and my mouth tasted bitter for 2 days after. we decided it was too expensive for what you get. college. |
