Joyrex-
Is your page down ? Ive got eleven days off till I start my
new job, and thought I would do some catch-up, but it seems
to be down. Are things alright over there ? Granted ill be
spending most of my time with my 5 month old son, but he has
been known to take 1/2 hour naps every now and then :)

Thanks,
recycle

yeah it's usually around noontime on weekdays that it goes
unresponsive.. we think it's another site on the shared
server taking all the juice.. so they're either going to
replace the server or move us to a different server

shouldn't be too hard to guess.. it's almost exactly the
same. i bet joyrex is pissed.. but dreamhost is a good host
overall, and i bet they'll have the problem cleared up soon
enough.

Yeah, our host is having hardware/network issues recently -
very uncharacteristic of them.

Also, in future, it's best just to email me rather than post
a mesage here - all it does is potentially invite comments
and plus I don't come here that often - the only reason I
even checked now was somebody mentioned the donations
weren't coming in here as frequently as they had been in the
past...

Well, seeing as negative comments about watmm generally get
errased and closed, its probly not going to get like it used
to. However, comments like that one are kind of like
invitations.

Times change. It's not the way it once was. WATMM and
xlltronic can peacefully co-exist.

There is no need to mention v2 features, everythime people
talk about it I get reminded of still not having it.
Launch it instead talking about it :)

i'll throw in some extra bucks if you implement a "jump to
first unread post" function...by next week. or next month
even.

Personally I'd go mad with that function, there are too many
threads going and too many members who post. Just imagne a
member who doesn't visit the board for a couple of weeks or
even days! Ahhh!

yeah well uhm, there's probably a bit of miscommunication
going on here. but a member who hasn't visited for a couple
of weeks would jump to the first post of a new thread, if
he'd use the feature. i don't see any problems. only
possible problem, imo, is the large number of threads. this
could be solved pretty easy by saying the function only
keeps track of the threads on the first page. in that way
there is a set (and controllable) amount of information to
be delt with.

Yeah, that'd be different. In few words the feature might be
also set to be used or to be not. People should be able to
edit that in their accounts maybe.

can you send a memo to phobias mail-address with a summary

o, and don't forget to explicitly state a deadline. i don't
want any of that version two crap anymore. it's time to
tighten the regime a bit. he seems to be a bit of a loose
cannon nowadays. no more excuses! anyways, you catch my
drift.
it's probably better to give him a month. giving him some
extra time to get his act together.

ps.: if the new regime doesn't help, we could always choose
for the outsource option.
