What's up guys...

Been a while...

Sound forge 8, is TRYING to push a .NET install. This is not
happing on MY PC.

So, the question of the night...wavelabb, or cooledit? Which
do you perfer? Which has better plugin support?

Please feel free to talk story on why you love or diss!

Hey man...
I prefer Cooledit/Audition, for the simple reason that I'm a
surly person and I started editing with Cooledit and I can
still do whatever I want with it.

I'm using cooledit and I think it's great, had some plugin
problems with sound forge, and I deleted it. I say you
choose cooledit, it's small, has all the basic options and
never crashes.

I use wavelab and goldwave. never could get used to the
interface in cooledit. and what's wrong with a .NET install?

i reluctantly use soundforge. i think it's too heavy, and
the vst implementation is not good. don't know why a NET
install is unpreferrable... but i don't know what a NET
install IS or DOES ;)
wavelab might be the way to go. the new version seems really
solid and nice and all. but audacity is fine for simple edit
work (and it's free:))
dunno about cooledit....

Audition is great. VST and DX support. Automations in
multitracking. Many many many advanced and basic tools at
your disposal.

Wavelab, i'm too accustomed to it to use anything else now.
Very intuitive to get to grips with but the plugin support
is patchy at best and i wouldn't call it exactly stable. I
am using an old version though...

about Soundforge!

They all suck, I seriously think someone needs to come by
and make a REALLY GOOD wav editor. WAVELAB has mor then SF
and then SF has more then WAVELAB, I really think someone
needs to contact the International Standards Organization
(ISO) and get them to all work together.

How many times do I find myself ALT TABBING back and forth
because one is better then the other at doing something.

WAVELAB alt r is a great short cut to reverse compared to
SF,
but in sound forge alt e PASTE to a new track ... Whats the
hot key for WAVE LAB? It drives me nuts having to go up into
the menu , especially when it`s a ton of stuff I am editing.

And shit, WAV LAB REGIONS. They are like 10% compatable with
other wav hosts. Where as SF has AWESOME region support. I
open a Sound forge edited Wave file in almost any program
and it sees my region points.

I`m sorry, this is a thing that really bugs me. Someone
needs to make Waveforge.
