all I know is, if someone showed me a map that had "France"
or "Iran" or "North Korea" printed on Australia, i would
know that something was up. I still have enough faith in the
people of America to think that most aren't that stupid.

and by the way, some of the people in that clip do say that
they "don't know", but the interviewer keeps prodding them
to make a guess, just to make them look stupid. also I'm
pretty sure some of the editing is misleading- for instance,
"california, new york" definately weren't answers to the
"axis of evil" question- no one is that dumb.

i do love the old who's like, "this's my answer- al quaida
is a wing of the masonic order." sounds like quite the
conspirac theory.

americans = people
europeans = people

therefore,

americans = europeans ?

More fuel for the fire:

Overheard conversation whilst I was on holiday in
Switzerland (so bear in mind these are ones that have
actually travelled and not lived in their trailer park in
Hicksville Tennesse all their lives),

American 1: "Where does the British accent come from?"
American 2: "I don't know, but it's sort of a yokel American
one."

There were American forces (army mainly) personnel there
too. They were teaching incorrect (and in fact, outright
dangerous) first aid and were incapable of all but the most
gentle of hikes.

NB: Yes, not all Americans are stupid. I have met some very,
very bright ones. I have some very close American friends,
as well as family. I just find the things stupid Americans
say even more outlandish and entertaining than stupid Brits.
