the rose has teeth in the mouth of a beast by matmos
might be my favourite so far...

the other ones i've heard are drum's not dead by
liars, rather ripped by sonic youth, peeping
tom
, waltzing for aeons by no opera, touch
three
by phill niblock, color wheel by growing,
10,000 days by tool, throttle furniture by
clark and i've just heard the beginning of the eraser
by thom yorke.

madlib - beat konducta vol2, beth orton - comfort of
strangers, j dilla - donuts or mr nogatco - nogatco road ..
expressions by dudley perkins was also pretty good

Probably Burial for me. I don't actually listen to many
albums in their entirety since I normally get bored before
they finish, but this has worked for me. And i'm not a
dubstep/grime fan either, so they obviously did something
right.

I'm sort of behind schedule with a backlog but I got a great
CD from Strangefortune the other day, Procer Veneficus-
Ghostvoices. Nice spooky stuff. The new TV on the Radio is
good too.

All the stuff I'm really looking forward to is still on the
way though, I expect the new Mastodon album will be my AOTY,
or Freescha.

Between

this review is slightly hogwash, but the record is really
really damn good. and there's a great deal of variety among
the 5 tracks, also.

the burial album is ridiculously overhyped to the point of
idiocy, but it's a good album.

my pick is matmos - the rose has teeth in the mouth of a
beast

so far
