I've been thinking about how I treat people in the "real life", and I think I could be a lot nicer. There's a fine line between being funny and being a jerk. I cross it often. |

to my closest mates i am a complete jerk. i try to push them as much as i can, because they do the same. its about pushing the boundary. it makes a night much more interesting. with other people, i tend to bite my lip and sit on my hands. |

its imposible to really know how others percieve you, but if you start being nicer to people when you normally wouldn't, isn't that not being yourself? we need all sorts. |

no its good fun. we all get a kick out of it. we all know what the limit is and when its gone too far, and when its time to be serious. the last time i was with my close mates, we threw one of them in a ditch. it was all in good fun :) |

how would you know if you never try, though? the not-being-nice-to-people-attitude is just another choice, probably something you pick up from your family and/or friends. it can help a lot to just relax around people, to not try so hard. |

I had a friend who was a total off the handle asshole. He would be really nice one minute and expose and make fun of me in my deepest insecurities the next ina very aggresive vile manner. He was really funny and smart, but it was a bad friendship. Abusive. I decided it was best never talking to him again. Poking fun at your friends is fun as long as you don't cross the line too often or pick on one passive individual of the group too much. |
