For home listening. I don't want to hear anything else than the music and there's a lot of street noise where I live. I don't especially want to blast the music very loud, so I want quality at low volumes and at louder volumes if possible.
I want them to be quite comfortable (consider that I wear glasses).
What do you advise ?
I already have sennheiser HD-437, which were very cheap. the sound quality is not very good and I can hear the surrounding noise as if I didn't wear them ! Anyway it is a good quality/price ratio imo.

I've had the worst luck with headphones this past week. My current best (and loudest) lost sound in one ear due to an accidental tug, my next pair got hooked to a door hinge and ripped the cord apart, and now I'm using airplane headphones.

you can buy headphones that actually record noise and playback the reverse frequency in real time so you can't hear anything. (i hav't come across any that play music aswell though) these are $100AU for the cheapest model, and i;ve seen them for upto $700

at least comparable, I would say that slightly better and more comfortable for sure. the 770's are very very good in terms of isolation from the surroundings and are often used by drummers in recording studios.

but this might be the best choice for you. (closed, and with silk ear-pads [?])

Well I'm sure that headphone is great but it is an open headphone so if you "...don't want to hear anything else than the music and
there's a lot of street noise where I live", then you might have a problem since it will not block out any sound.
