Control: The Ian Curtis film

Look! They are making a movie about Ian Curtis! I
think this looks promising. I was kind of disappointed with
the way he was portrayed in 24 hour party people, mostly
because of the actor that was supposed to be Curtis. Sam
Riley looks much more suitable..

Update: at March 2005 the following bands have reportedly
been approached U2, Marilyn Manson, Kraftwerk, The Smiths
and Doves. Only Kraftwerk are reported to have said no.

U2

ahahahhahaha

What, Last Days? It's a fantastic film, Kurt Cobain or not.

it's part of the Trilogy of Death. basically you'd enjoy it
if you enjoyed gerry and elephant.

have yet to see it myself since i've been out of the movie
loop for about a year.

last days is awesome.
great costume design (wank).

Ian Curtis film sounds good. I didn't think 24 hour party
people was THAT bad, infact I really liked it.

24 hour party people was the only film about music that
didn't seem cheezy

That's such an untrue statement... there's NO WAY the Smiths
would record something for the soundtrack.....

Morrissey and Mike Joyce would have the catfight to end all
catfights.

Great, a film about some depressed singer who hung himself.

24 hour party people was a great film.

Anton explained it in some interview on youtube: because he
(and people in general should too, perhaps) remembers him in
black & white. (all vids and pics have been in black &
white)

Okay fair enough, I was afraid it was a cheap way to make it
dark and gritty.

Apparently the star was plucked from total obscurity -
there's an article in Total Film about it this month.

My first impression is that the trailer looks a little dodgy
on first look. Still looking forward to seeing the movie in
a theatre, though.
