it's a summer camp located at seaside !

a site where care and activities are provided for children
during the summer months; "city kids get to see the country
at a summer camp"

also:

It was a summer camp of city-tired people, pitched in a
grove of towering redwoods through whose lofty boughs the
sunshine trickled down, broken and subdued to soft light and
cool shadow.

if the kids are alright....it's funny. if there are too many

yeah, wife, getting paid. two weeks, but luckily she's not

Guardian ? Is it like a sweet-awesome-camp or
like day-care ?
From what im reading it seems to be a camp for city kids to
enjoy a "summer camp" type setting...

Am I mistaken ?

But as we all know.
There are a few bad apples in those city kids
So yeah, I could see how it would be "work" at times.

i was a guardian/english language tutor [?] on 2 summer
language camps once.

when kids went asleep - "guardians" could have some rest and
a beer.

or two.

"work" = simply many of those kids are still to
irresponsible etc. they could drown, walk under car etc. you
need to watch over them almost all the time.

well, actually that's what the parents paid for - for secure
summer holiday for their childs.
