After reading a variety of reviews, all of which containing references to "He claims it's not a drug reference, but it must be.." and then "I don't know what the purpose of this album is, but it's neat", I feel that I need to interject.. I've listened to this album three times solid through during hefty LSD trips, and I cannot describe how amazingly fascinating the sounds are. Ranging from soothing to spastic and deadly, the album is an incredibly intense experience. 54 Cymru Beats WILL MAKE ME PEAK During the incredible degeneration of beat into grinding explosive frequencies. While the album may not be about drugs, it's made with deep rooted influences in the expansion of mental horizons that drugs are capable of. |

Most electronic music sounds incredible on trips tho... I remember listening to 808State 90 album for hours on end and being totally lost within that audio world... But yeah, I can imagine that Drukqs would be especially phun...the intracies of the beats seem to suggest hardcore mental states & densdrites and endless structures to me....It's VERY visual music (does that make sense?...you know what I mean, I hope...)... |

I love this album, i dont take drugs though, but i can still enjoy the bizarreness of sound and rhythm mutating and exploding. Each bar of music is a progression on the last. how do people pronounce it here? I pronounce it "drug use" |
