Hi there, I'm currently working for the Breezeblock on
Radio 1. Apologies if this looks like using the board to
push the show, but there's a competition that i thought
might interest you guys.

Steve Reich's track: Music For 18 Musicians is getting
re-released as a remix package. Alex Smoke and Fourtet are
doing the first two remixes, but the label are looking for a
new producer to do the third remix.

Download the track from the link (here,) remix it,
and send it in as instructed. Steve Reich himself will
choose the winner. The closing date is the end of this
month, so there isn't long!

Excellent. I'll give that a shot.

Now, how about getting me a DJ set on the show? :P

If you do a five minute mini mix, Annie Mac will play it.
(if it's any good, of course.)

Are you serious? Where does it say this on the site? I
really want to get a set played on the breezeblock.

Not on Mary Anne Hobbes, on Annie Mac's radio one show.
You know, the not-shit dance one.
She plays five minute mixes sent in on CD-R if she likes
them.
Has to be quite dancefloor orientated, not too abstract or
mellow. Although I'm sure you could work a bit of weirdness
in there.

Reich will blow his wad when he hears my Amateur IDM
interpretation of his work, Music for 18 musicans and 1
pretend Ape with a laptop.
