I have been making some amateur IDM, it's electronic music
without the professional sheen that only a professional
musician with years of experience can give you. The
pleasure, such as it is, that can be derived from this
music, if indeed it is music, is very limited. It's
basically just a collection of sounds, in some vague
semblance of order. With this in mind I've put 5 tracks into
1, so as not to waster your time.

Naked Apes 1 - 5

You can of course save 100% of your time by ignoring this
entirely.

No, I only download music by professional musicians. Then I
at least have the thrill of stealing.

very short, but very sweet, a creative and fulfilling
soundcollage. could of course be longer as usual, but i've
come to expect this kind of style with you. i'd really like
to hear some more 3-4 minute songs by you, though. something
that i can appreciate long enough without having to rewind
all the time. i hear you're still chugging along with
fruityloops defaults, nice! the song around 4:00 is my
favorite. it wrecks.

i think we should do a collaboration once, something
poignant yet disgustingly nonchalant. under a supersecret
name of course.

David Bowie swears by defaults, and god damn it, who am i to
argue?

Sorry, I completly ignored that, because I am so rude. But
no, I'd love to, you know I would. My ideal collaboration
would be that I came round your house with a carrier bag
full of supermarket own brand lagers, sat you down at the
machines, and barked commands at you like "Bigger techno
drums" and "weirder ambient keys" until you got it right.
But we might be able to find some middle ground.

Cheers ears, I'm glad you like the first bit, that's my
fave, I am a bit keen to makeit a full on funk workout, it's
almost got a whiff of sex about it, even if I deludedly say
so myself. Maybe a few grunts in there "Ugh! Touch me! No
there!" sort of thing... hmmm.....

First one is fucking great...
Second one is fucking greater...
Third one is good
Fourth one is heavy
Da fiff is a'ight man.

If the first track was mastered to make it sound cleaner and
more spaced then that bass line could rip heads off with
niceness.

There is something nostaligic and arcady about the second.
I love it.

I like them all.

some pleasant idm....1-5 = 5 unfinished ideas/tracks ? why
don't you put all 5 ideas/tracks as an EP on a damn
netlabel/as a full release ? it's hard to say anything
important based on a 5 minutes sampler. good luck, young
man.

I liked the fifth one, kind of reminded me of a track on
Plaid's "trainer" (although it's years since I heard that
then).

I could've shot the third track with a shotgun just to watch
it die.

I know, it's silly isn't it? Pfff, bloody... Music. But then
I think, as an amateur, hobbyist, over the hill Electronic
music fan that likes to chance his arm now and again making
little tracks... I feel a bit ostentatious making out I've
done a "full" track, I leave that to the pro's, and I say
that sincerely, not in a sarky manner.

3 minutes, the 3 min pop song, the perfect proportion for a
bit of sonic drama, ... tell a little story in 3 acts. Pop
music. It's a wonderful thing.

I'll try harder, I will.

i really believe in you, young man.

after a week of listening to lots of "off-tune" "classic"
tracks from Flying Lizards or Death In June i'm expecting
high quality from you...unless you say "fuck quality, mind
the content" !

i'm still a GA fan, after all these years

p.s. but i'd be most content reading in a newspaper that you
just decided to record/release 1 EP a week, that would rock
my world and break any idm boundaries, i think. electronic
music needs cencerity from the likes like you.
