I have just started a job working in a Vineyard and there is a polish girl who is kinda left out of things because she doesnt speak very good English. Anyone know some polish so that maybe i can be friendly and make her feel less ostracised? |

If it's proper Russian, it would be hard to confuse any Polish, especially if he/she is from the east of the country. Most people understand German where I live, but the probability of confussion is higher for ze teutonic language. |

you could maybe try with: "mooy polskee yest kiyepskee" (my polish is weak) try to pronounce the"i" as short as possible, not the usual "ay". the same with "e", like in "get", not like in "me". |

"ssie" is the word I tried to type down. It means "sucks". The problem is that "sie" is pronounced like "śe" and have no equivalent for the consonant "ś". The whole word should be close to "s-sh-ye", haha. Oh forget it! Do you have skype or something? |

Damn good. the "i" between consonants in polish always sounds like "e" in "me" and if it is between a consonant and a vowel it softens the consonant. That's an important thing about Polish. |
