Loop.mp3

Not finshing tracks.

Sounds rough as a badgers arse but I'm working on it still.
Spent far far far too long tweaking various bits.

That was art of the idea. No central tone type thing.

satisfying

Cool.

I was fucking around with that bit earlier and seeing what
could be done via Live with it.

The amusing results.

Don't get your hopes young scamp. It's a very short clip of
what I've accomplished with many hours of fiddling. The
second one is me twatting it up in Live and seeing what the
results are. If I'm experimenting with stuff then I record
it so I can listen back afterwards and see what I think of
it.

the tapping from 4 to 8 seconds is annoying. its like
something i would come up with!
other than that its a pretty loop. i want to hear this in a
song!

"Loop" is good, "Loop [extended version]" would be much
better though

Hey, at least I've managed to not copy his style for once. I
normally end up with some piss poor imitation of some known
artist.

Physt: Pretty darn good myself thanks. It's been a long
time.

It's a proof of technology thing I suppose. I need to spend
more time automating these things though so I can
concentrate on the sounds one I've got the "tune" sorted.
The drums will be changed because they're too repetitive at
the moment. Need to clean the sound too. It's too muffled.
However, it doesn't sound like a Reason track (to me) which
should shut some people up :D

offline obara from Utrecht on 2006-07-03 05:17 [#01931422]

the worst thing to me is to come up with an interesting
idea/track with interesting structure, that's something more
frustrating and than perfecting my sound. i.e. if i could
come up with an interesting lo-fi track everyday, i'd be
most happy ! ;]

I'm always making weird little sections but never whole
tracks. This really is the closest I've been in ages.

I've been playing with Reason a lot and coming out with this
sort of thing:

target=blank>01.mp3/a>

offline hedphukkerr from mathbotton (United States) on 2006-07-03 06:49 [#01931465]

hold up.

this is done in reason? holy shit, ive never heard anyone
who could get sounds out of that thing like this. good
jorb!

and that live fooling around proves that theres plenty in
there to build a proper track around it.

keep with the experimenting! thats what all good musicians
do.

The first link is 100% reason, the second link is Reason and
Live as you know and the last one is 100% reason.

Glad you liked it.

The trouble I have is creating a whole track. I shall
persevere though.
In fact, I hope people have different perceptions on Reason.
There is a lot of snobbery about it but you really can
create something "Non Reason" if you put in the time and
effort.

i sometimes get the same snobbery from using floops almost
exclusively, but that has a far smaller group of haters than
reason does.

and remember when making tracks: high rez low pass filter
sweeps always fucking rock the house.
