Well, you could spend five minutes reading a couple posts
that I wrote and assume I just easily came across these
judgements, or you could look at my life experience which
include living on the street for two years and having some
of my best friends become junkies for stupid reasons. I've
gone through what most of those people go through. I never
felt compelled to turn to hard drugs because I knew they
would fuck me up.

And I am looking at the big picture. People let others hit
their pity switch too easily. It makes people easy targets.
Likewise, have you ever taken in one of these people into
your home for shelter? Maybe you should try it. A lot of
people will scream a fit when they hear of people getting
shit on for being addicts, but as soon as the idea of
putting a treatment facility in their neighboorhood comes
up, they turn around and scream to put it in the ghetto.
That only causes further concentration helping the problem
grow.

I had a counselor with a similar attitude, "In certain
situations, say when I have a speech to make, I feel
panicky, but I get over it". .. Oh yes, WHY DIDN'T I THINK
OF THAT? Just fucking calm down.. SO EASY??? I'm such a
moron. GOD FUCK ME!!!! WHY AM I SUCH A CUNT?

meth is one of those things where you dont really have a lot
going on in the first place to start doing it

i like that attempt at "i've been there" condescension! you
say i'm such a bleeding heart that i am at risk of getting
taken advantage of, and therefore, i should take a drug
addict into my home when i have no training or resources to
help them. makes sense to me. you're right, i am not
living with addicts, so i must be part of the problem.

you're the one who dismissed these people as criminals, not
me.

The pictures are swapped - it should be the other way
around. Meth makes you as purty as a blooming flower.

Well, the pictures of the people in question are mugshots.
They are criminals.

Well, before you go flying off the handle on something,
perhaps you could actually try to work towards a solution
instead of idle yammering.

You chose to live on the street for two years (most
other people seem to fucking get round to having a job), why
the fuck should anyone listen to a fucking bum like
you with your street "wisdom"?

Well, I learned my lesson. I have a nice home and a good
girlfriend and such now. I did choose to live on the street,
but I will never make that mistake again.

Fcuk yeah! What ever happened to "innocent until proven
guilty in a court of law"? Nah, screw that!

Anyways, this argument is stupid. I'm going to leave it at
that. Nothings getting discussed, things are going in
circles.

well, being informed about something being bad for you, is
not the same as knowing something is bad for you.

I'm gonna agree with taxidermist on this one. I've been in
that 'scene' and know how it works. Most of you who are
bitching in this thread are just sitting at your fucking
computers forming invalid opinions on a subject that's in
your blind spot.

don't be so quick to assume this, it might be rather
hurtfull to some.

Taxidermist, you lived on the street for 2 years? In
Vancouver? In that case you know what you're talking about.
Tell us more about that. I bet you have stories.

Not too many stories. A lot of depression. A lot of
unhealthy thoughts. However, there was this one time, where
one night I was staying in a shelter, and the guy three beds
away took a hit off some pipe and then proceeded to
masterbate while staring in my direction. I left that
shelter at four thirty in the morning, took my food stamps,
and never came back.

Its hard to think straight when you are in that condition.
Not much happens. Its a survival state.

Yes. But there is only so much credit you can give people.
People keep on telling you "Crack will fuck you up. Heroin
will turn you into a junkie. Hard drugs are bad" and you
decide to go use those drugs thinking nothing bad is going
to happen to you?

I frind of mine was killed buy a person driving on Meth. THe
person swerved into her lane and hit her head on. She was
killed instantly. The person on Meth lived of course. Not a
scratch. Which is typical.

i'm glad that's the worst story for you. most people aren't
so lucky. in all honesty, i can tell the exact same story -
it happened to me while i stayed in a hostel on vacation,
except i had to buy my own food and some dude tried to rob
me as well.

in other words, it is so fucking far from a "big deal" it's
actually funny in retrospect.

i like the idea of this site tho. people looking rubbish and
then another picture looking even more shite. why does it
just have to be meth tho? can't it be more mundane, like
"here's paul before he did the dishes, and here he is after"
and everyone can say, "what a fucked up cunt".

i bet loads of meth users become bogloads more sexy too but
their pictures are destroyed like in 1984.

When did I say thats the worst thing that ever happened to
me? Why do you feel the need to polarize everything. As soon
as someone says something, you throw it into the context of
the absolute extreme. It doesn't accomplish anything besides
insulting your intelligence.
