Hi.

I want to say that Drukqs its the ultimate electronic album.
No one since today has archieved anything comparable to
Drukqs. The album its packed perfect, the drill and piano
tracks fits perfect. The electronic tracks are masterpieces
of his own. The mood of the album as a whole its just too
awesome.

Detailed and complex, and at the same time pleasants to
listen, keeping you interested until the end. The work on
every single track can be apreciated because its actually
here, you can listen how the beats had been programmed
manually in the most creative ways you can imagine. To put
an example, any drill track from Druqks ("Vordhosbn" or "54
Cymru Beats" to mention some) owns every single track from
any author of the genre. Including the most over-rated piece
of crap that is Autreche, specially the lastest work
(Confield, Draft 7.30 and Untitled). Gantz Graf keeps you
interested if you look at the video, as an individual track
fails miserably too. Sorry but I can do something similar
with the proper tools.

To conclude, I hope RDJ releases something with the mood and
quality of Druqks in the future.

Thanks.

Drukqs is very good and I feel the analord series have a lot
of the same mood as it, same goes for quality.

Welcome to 2001. Which for a long time was THE benchmark for
The Future, so fair enough.

...drukqs is the only rdj-album I probably never will buy.
compared with his earlier material, this album is truly
mediocre.

I like ae's stuff a lot more - even though they quite often
get stuck in some places - we all know now that you like
sample-retrigging, ok? - they sometimes manages to make
something n e w and different. Something that sounds
entirely ae and isn´t based on some idea from other genres
and stuff like that. rdj's music are for me to much
connected to all other music that's around - ae makes often
something else and not heard before.

It's great, but not groundbreaking at all. It's just his
love letter to various styles of late-eighties/nineties
dance music.
If he had done an album in the style of Windowlicker, now
that would have been fucking awesome.
His best album is The RDJ album.

praising your favourite album with bashing other band for no
reason? How old are you, goddamnit!?
Thanks fanboy, now I like Drukqs 2% less.

"drukqs is alright but compared to analord it's pretty
weak.
untilted is awesome..i like it more than drukqs, but hey,
it's 5 years younger".

Sorry but you are completely wrong on your statement.

I mean, how can someone say that "Untitled", another boring

glitch wankery by Autechre, its better (in any way) than
"Drukqs"? I have only one possible answer for that:

People worships every single release of Autechre, end.

I mean, take any track (augmatic disport, for example), and
listen ffs. What do you ear? It is complex? Do you really
apreciate that "complexity"? Its that hard to make anything
similar? Im sure that 90% of people will not give a flying
crap about "augmatic disport" if it were released by a
random person.

Btw, the "you just don't get it" argument its getting old,
same as the "you need to listen the track lots of times and
concentrate on the sound to notice the structure". I didn't
needed listen to "Vordhosbn" (to give an example) two times
to realize how perfect it was. Actually, noticing how an
Autechre track has (or not) an extructure its easier than
writing that thing without looking at that picture above.
The problem is if the extructure itself goes from the
complexity part to the pretentious and pretty fuckin boring
part.

So don't raged, because this is a personal opinion.

Thanks.

What's the argument in this thread again, Drukqs vs. the
entire output of Autechre?

i don't care much for most of autechres catalogue. i like
confield and some tracks from couple of other albums. but
with untilted they gone on entirely new level for me.
personally i don't care about complexity. to me something
sounds good if it affects my emotions, and well, compared to
drukqs (which is awesome album btw), untilted just does more
for me emotionally.

"Its that hard to make anything similar?"

i don't know because i don't make music, but i only heard
autechre do something like untilted.

btw, i used to be like you..didn't think of autechre much..
