I generally despise most new mainstream hip hop material, not out of snobbery, but simply because I find it irritating, offensive, and boring. I listened to Missy Elliot's newest album ("The Cookbook") out of curiosity, however, and it's got some choooooons. Especially that one, "Partytime". I don't really understand a lot of what she's on about, but it doesn't bother me too much, because it's catchy and grimey and...nice. Any Missy fans here? |
