on second thoughts it would've been better giving this
thread a title like 'do not watch this horrible vid' instead
of this animalrightsactivist-ish one, but ah well..

PETA can suck my fucking dick anytime, sorry. Fur
exploitation is retarded and shouldn't happen, but PETA
spreads so much disgusting propaganda they don't deserve to
have any of their material absorbed by anyone.

any corporation.

fur really pisses me off. especially leopard skin and shit
like that, thats off rare animals.

it turned out that my russian hat <-------------------- is
made from real arctic hare fur. it didnt even occur to me
that it might be real fur when i bought it, i assumed those
creative soviets would have made some sort of carcinogenic
artificial alternative. pissed me off quite a lot.

I wear leather, I eat meat, unless it's an endangered
animal, I really don't have a problem consuming it one way
or the other.

surely it matters if the animal is alive or not when it's
skin is being ripped off. If that's all ok by you then you
lack something important in your brain

Harry Harlow and monkey love!

offline swears from junk sleep on 2006-06-12 16:52 [#01918684]
Points: 6474 Status: Lurker | Followup to Taffmonster: #01918682

Harlow was well-known for refusing to use euphemisms and
instead chose deliberately outrageous terms for the
experimental apparatus he devised, including a forced mating
device he called a "rape rack", tormenting surrogate mother
devices he called "iron maidens" and an isolation chamber he
called the "pit of despair." In the latter of these devices,
alternatively called the "well of despair", baby monkeys
would be left alone in darkness for up to six weeks. This
procedure produced monkeys that were severely
psychologically disturbed and themselves unable to raise
children.

ROFL

He spawned the animal liberation front, they were basically
a reaction to him, but his fucked up experiments aside he
found some real interesting thinsg about love. theres a
documentary about it called monkey love, its really good.

Why in the fuck do they not kill the animals before skinning
them? Fucking fuckers. I could care less about PETA, but
that was just horrible.

:(

Don't even start on the seal hunt. I live in a province of
Canada where it goes on, and it's not half so bad as people
make it out to be. It's actually illegal to kill the baby
seals, so those who do kill them don't have the consent of
the Canadian government.

But yes, that video IS pretty horrible. How people can do
that I can't understand. Doing it once the animal is dead is
one thing (still pretty bad), but when they're alive? Do the
people even have any feelings or emotions? Goodness!

why would i ever want to click that.

i find it hard enough to deal with pets dying of natural
causes

dunno about that..there were videos around where they do the
same thing to baby seals. hit them on their heads to slow
them down and then skin them alive.

apperantly it's better for the fur if the animal is skined
alive.
man, it always pisses me off when people do that to helpless
animals..im not that emotional when it comes to people
dying..

Because the skin hardens almost immediately after death to
the point that the fur isn't maliable enough to be used.

well I DO know about that... and so I'm just saying the way
it is... it's against the law to kill the baby seals...

sorry, but I get annoyed when people like Paul McCartney and
his wife, or anyone, comes here commenting on the seal
industry when they don't know what they're talking about.

i've seen loads of these videos and completely agree that
there should be a total ban on wearing fur. with the
exception of eskimos of course.

what about my hat?!?!?!

i try to justify myself by saying it was second hand, and
its better to buy and wear a second-hand fur hat instead of
chucking it away, so the poor cute little furry thing didnt
die for nothing.

i can't stand seeing animals being tortured. be it young or
old seals. if they did it quick, in some less horrible way i
wouldn't mind it all that much.

as for mccartney prick..he's a vegeterian i think and
vegeterians can get pretty silly, i agree. btw, he's
divorcing atm and his wife just bought a house near
here..dunno how she was able to bear with him for so long
anyway :)
