I see a juno, a computer screen, and some indescernable
keyboard. What else is in there?

vveerrgg Is that a K3/K4 SV on your website main
page? Good bike, I'm straddling one in my avatar. Sorry to
hear about your tug from the police.

K3 SV that got stolen actually.... now i ride a k4 SV1k...
looks like you got a Sv650 in that pick.... either that or a
2 in 1 exhaust on a 1k. one of the sweetest bikes every
IMHO!

behind the juno is a vestax mixer, a tech 12 turntable with
the cover on it and sitting on top of it, that little silver
box is my audio interface (m audio quattro). that top
keyboard is just a radium midi controller resting on my
monitors.

Yes, it's a K4 650. A few of my mates have got thous;
brilliant bikes. Is your thou another yellow one? I'm
looking at buying a low mileage, crash damaged TL1000s
(early, ideally '97 full power one) and over a couple of
years building a streetfighter around the engine (which is
same as the SV1000 one). If it turns out to not be feasible
(or I can't afford it), I'll probably get a naked K4 SV thou
second hand and stick clip-ons and rearsets on it (as well
as throaty exhaust and a nicely modded airbox for more
induction noise). I want a faster bike (not that the 650 is
exactly "slow"), but think a naked is the way to save my
licence. I've never really enjoyed sitting bolt upright with
windblast in my face, but whilst riding mine "mid repairs"
after an off, I discovered that a naked bike with a racey
riding position is what I like most. I was born too late, I
should have been a cafe racer in the late 50s! ;)

PS: I emailed you at the addy mentioned on your podcast, did
you get it (no rush for a reply, just wanted to check it was
still valid).

Ceri JC: i hear you on the faster bike front... move up to
the SV1000 (or TL1000) and you'll be more then happy... TONS
of torque. I just sent you an email... figured no point in
buggin the board with our talk on bikes...

Just spent last week and the weekend rebuilding the
studio....

I'm VERY HAPPY with the new layout. Even bought new
powerbars for the gear and new cables so i could suspend the
wiring instead of running it all on the ground.

gotta love it

yeah the mixer mostly is just for auditioning live....
everything is either direct out into the soundcard or mixed
via aux sends to the soundcard. then in the computer I do
all the real sound editing and just send stereo pair out to
the speakers...

took me forever to build it up.. but now that I've got it
set I'm really happy with how things have been going.

i've been moving my sound stuff about alot the past 3-4
years, in and out of my parents house, into the ghost house
and now my little council estate den, but i have mostly old
cheap stuff, an old computer, circuit bent stuff and a
sturdy oscilloscope for nice visual effects. the only thing
thats really new is my mac laptop.

I hopefully will have a new digital camera soon, so I can
post pics of my studio. I always feel left out in threads

either way... that Korg Legacy MS-20 VST thing is
amazing.... I wish I had've picked one up when they were
out, but I figured they would release a 24/192 version. Now
I'm kicking myself for not having one.....

beautiful machine.... all yer stuff is sweet.... but that
is one I'd love the most.

Nords are cool, they've got a really "clean" sound, whereas
i've heard that the Access synths have a gritty dirty
sound.

i used to desperately want an Access Virus Indigo (the
original one, not Indigo2 or the new TI one)...i wanted it
to be my first synth.

my actual first synth ended up being the MC-202!

offline Arsey Rob from Derby (United Kingdom) on 2006-12-21 09:35 [#02020147]

yeah i like the look of the nord g2. i like the idea of
editing patches on the computer, then saving them on the
synth for live use... even though i'm a total hardware
junkie!

or maybe the little one they made, the Nord Modular. very
cute.

Unless you are getting the G2, go for the virus. Better bang
for the buck/less digital sounding.

i'm all for "less digital sounding", the monomachine is a
