Honestly, not much to do for partying here. A lot of top forty clubs and shit. Sonar is ok, and on wednesday Lick has
an experimental music night (or at least they used to).
Vancouver is best for its naturey things to do. Go to wreck
beach, bring about 15 dollars for beer and mushrooms from the vendors, and spend the afternoon looking at naked chicks.
Or you could hike in the mountains.
But yeah. This week is a great week for beaches. It won't be
too hot or too cold. Just have a good time, and relax. The beaches are really nice out here.

i love vancouver. i've seen good shows at richards on richards and at sonar. i don't know whats going on next week though. we usually do some shopping on Robson street and gas town and the like. maybe hang out in the big park and smoke herb. actually we usually end up buying pot, renting vids and hanging at my friends apartment.

If you want to see shows, just pick up a georgia straight newspaper. It has a listing of everything happening in vancouver. They are practically on ever corner downtown.
But like I said. Go to some beaches. If you want lots of people, english bay or kits beach is good. If you want less people, jerico beach (if you can find it) is nice, and its a good place to have a bonfire. If you want hippies and naked people, wrech beach is good. Or go to the mountains and hike. Go to zulu records while you are out here. Its at fourth and maple.

Sounds like your covering a lot of miles and seeing a lot of things that even Americans should see.
I hope you came out of Las Vegas alive.
Continued success on your travels.

hey i just returned, my 2 cents on vancouver (if anyone cares):
-what's the deal with the asians here? i think there are more asians in vancouver than in all the asian countries together.. yes, i'm saying there are over 2000 million asians in a city that has a population of about 3 million, yes, i know that's impossible but those asians can do magic with numbers...
-also is vancouver the handicapped capital of canada or something?, do you canadians send all your disabled people here? second to the asian population is the disabled one, weird.
-what's with your idea that you must have over a thousand choices for every little detail you want in your food. first we went to a tim hortons and so i'm like "i'll get a bagel with cream cheese" so i go to the counter and ask for one, and then it's like:
-What kind of bagel -plain -there's no plain. -ok whatever blueberry. -you want it toasted? -no (i just want a freakin' bagel with cream cheesse) -what kind of cream cheese? -huh? -strawberry? -huh? yeah ok.
so i ended up with a blueberry bagel with some yogurt flavoured cream cheese that wasn't really what i wanted.
ok so that's one case the next day my pop and i went to have some breakfast and they alsk you what kind of bread you want, white, brown, full grain.. toasted or not, I mean it's just bread goddamnit.
later we went to dinner at denny's (meh) and my pop ask for some i dunno what it was, some dinner plate, and the same thing, "you have to choose 2 sides", "what kind of bread?", "toasted?", "what dressing for your salad" "do you want it..?". Is your idea of freedom that you shoudl be able to choose exactly how you want your food at a pay place? it's a nice imrpovement on americans idea that freedom is being able to choose over more than 5 brands of shampoo.
Also you people can't toast bread; a tip: if you hold a piece of toasted bread upwards if must stand perfectly erect.
-the women are hot
and.. i dunno i had more rants but i forgot. maybe i'll reme

Hah! The big complaints are about the amount of choices you get in your food? You didn't even seem to hit any of the healthy food stores. Those places are a nightmare!
