Only checked out the soundtrack, which is vastly inferior to Mother 2's but still ultra (and insanely eclectic). I heard the gameplay and story itself was every bit as good as Mother 2, so I can forgive the music for being a bit less inspired. I'm not even going to touch the game until the Mother 3 Translation Project or something finishes up. The humor and quotes are half the appeal. |

I just found the ROM yesterday after a lengthy discussion with my brother. I loaded it up to see the intro screen and the character creation screen. Man i am so excited about this. *awaits translation* :) |

Foppy was pretty cute. L'il UFO was my favorite. One of the (8!!) battle themes from Mother 2 sounded like Charles Mingus on acid. Man that game was aurally visionary. |

I played a translated rom of Mother 1 for NES. And I think you can get it on GBA as a package with Mother 2. Haven't played the GBA version though. It is the cat's pajamas, way ahead of its time. A lot of the best musical themes from Mother 2 were adapted from Mother 1, and the game is just as weird. |
