Boards of Canada - Sounded completely different to what i
had imagined. A pleasant surprise. "Music is math" - first
boc song i ever heard (excluding "ready let's go", of
course).

Thanks xlt!

Others: Jega, My Bloody Valentine, Enduser, Plaid etc
etc...

Come to think of it, this site is pretty good for music
recommendations (LOL :-s). I suppose many users here have
been introduced to whole host of artists, so to make things
simple, name the best artist(s) you have discovered on this
here xl of tronic.

oh, wait it just says artists not musicians. I also
remembered some I forgot.

then I must also add the great Hanal, whoever goes by the
name Josh Tierny, gl0tch (if that's the "other" guy with
awesome paintings), swift_jams, r40f (he's sexy as well),
moondog, some luke vibert, errh.. I know there's more, but I
need to do something else now or else I'll die from
nothingdoingness.

for my 5th post in a row in this thread let me make a
recomendation.

i've been really enjoying Minus The Bear's "Menos El Oso"
album. it is indy rock, i guess. but the guitars remind me
very much of electronic music. dave knudson is a fucking
amazing guitarist.

I only got some less known artists from here, I was
introduced to electronic music from my mates bro who had a
massive army ammunition box full of warp stuff and lots more
classics

interesting fact: I heard aphex twin's didgeridoo on vinyl
in 1994 through my dads dirty big speakers when i was about
13 and was blown away :P
