i tried to iron
my white t-shirt
i did something wrong
something about it not being hot enough?
the water came out
there was no steam
before then. it was clean.
now it's yellow.
well not anymore actually -
when that happens
if you wash it
the burnt on water
usually
comes out.

I avoid buying white clothes so I can throw everything in at
once.
Laundry is the most boring and tedious of all house work.

strange, you always seemed like a person with a penchant for
white lingerie to me

also, its not tedious, it practically does itself - unless
you go down to the river along with the housewifes every
saturday morn' to do the weekly wash

pick through the huge pile in the bathroom
this one looks light
this one looks dark
though it might have been light at one time
stuff them all into the same bag
so faded that they won't bleed through to each other anyway
grab almost empty container of soap
hope there is enough
haul it all to the basement
drop everything while locking/unlocking 3 doors on the way
finally find all machines in use
but they aren't all running
some are full of clothes finished long ago
think about starting huge bonfire of clothes
go back to bed

softener.

Yes. The kind with the little teddy bear in particular. :)
Reminds me of my grandparents home. Makes me shiver with
joy.
