WTF? Haven't heard of this one before. Past Mellow Gold and on a label called flipside? How is it?

Its a bunch of odds and ends...Some of the tracks are what sound to be tape recordings of crazy people performing music on the street...Its all really random...A few good songs on it though...Satan gave me a taco is pretty funny...Also, the track titles listed don't match up to the actual songs on the album...Its a weird one to say the least...

I was only teasing, teasing you.
Good, but mad, album. Bought it years ago in a tiny no-name shop somewhere for 50p or something.

that'll be on my gravestone:
"Good, but mad."
or maybe it'll read:
"Bought it years ago in a tiny no-name shop somewhere for 50p or something."

one foot in the grave is decent, never got around to getting stereopathetic soul though

it's fantastic, properly bizarre and with some of his best tracks ever! hopefully you have banjo story, fresh meat & old slabs, beck (like the beer), buck fuck iowa, lollipop, a western harvest field in moonlight, the various unnamed tapes etc. etc. as well?

exactly! which is why guero feels sorta lukewarm sometimes, it lacks his oldschool "essence" even though it tries to be oldschool... midnite vultures was the last album with that great feel, although sea change is pretty nice for being something fundamentally different.

thanks! : )
i agree with BeefFog about Stereopathetic Soulmanure.
it's the only Beck album i find hard to listen from beginning to end, even though there's some really good stuff on it too... i like One Foot In The Grave more, but it's a slightly different style (again).
