This is a great, great ambient CD. Percussion free unlike
some of his other stuff. Really desolate and haunting
tracks. Apparently the entire album was made using guitars,
though I never would have been able to tell.

"Hope" is the standout track for me, and probably the best
ambient tune I've ever heard.

Can't believe I missed this thread! Big steve roach fan.

Midnight Moon is great. I can't even begin to pick a
favorite album because he's done so many. Off the top of my
head I'd say dreamtime return and on this planet are must
haves.

Yeah, one of the reasons I think Roach is so overlooked is
because his body of work is so huge and varied it's hard to
find a good starting place.

On This Planet is real good, especially the tracks "Heart Of
The Tempest" and "Trilobite". I'm not a huge fan of the
tribal style rhythms he employes on this one (mainly because
I like to read with ambient music on and percussion is
distracting), but sometimes they can add to the flavor of
the track.

Midnight Moon just hits the spot on all levels... to any
dark/lonely ambient fans this album is a MUST.

Another big Steve Roach fan here! I also love Robert Rich,
Michael Stearns, and Lustmord...

My favorite Steve Roach albums have to be "The Magnificent
Void" and the Mystic Chords Sacred Spaces boxset.
