The Army

Sure your personality your individuality is important for
you to survive, but for this group of people for humanity as
a whole, you are replaceable. Thats why the army is good
thing, if you are poor, lazy and or stupid. It keeps losers
of the streets. If they are lucky they get killed in a
jungle war, instead on the way to their job they absolutley
hate

I disagree, I just bumped into an old mate down the shops.
Whilst he isn't academically brilliant, he certainly isn't
stupid and he definately isn't lazy. He's a commando and I
really think that for him, the army is a probably the best
place he could be. He loves exercise/sport and it's good for
him to be able to channel his competative streak in his job.

He is a genetic freak, of course there are exceptions there
always are.

He's a big fucker for sure. He's about 6'3" and must be
about 16 stone. Absolute beast.

I've got a few friends in the forces and come to think of
it, none of them are of "below average" intelligence. I also
think laziness soon gets drilled out of you, long days and
lack of sleep seems commonplace for our lot.

tell him that if he loves exercise and sports he should get
the hell out of the army and do those things on his own and
then he can do something useful besides that instead
of spending his time in the army.

the army is a waste of time, especially for the UK

it's also one of the largest wastes of money that could
otherwise go to good things!

yes! britain should stop pretending to be a world power and
put some money into something more worthwhile instead of the
military and dodgy invasions

(going all political for no reason)

same thing in norway; we spend billions of kroner on having
assholes shoot lead into piles of sand!

we don't!

the worst thing is that they call it a "defence" army, but
we've been involved in offensive action.

Finland still has Putin as a neighbour. Still, voluntary
citizen army (like U.S. militia) simply works better in
principle. In practical terms, a mercenary army would be the
best solution for now.

Most European nations don't "need" an army, but generals
need privates, they feed on them.

I hate the way that Canadas armed forces have gone from
Peace Keepers to a Hostile Force. This has only happened in
the last decade and it should create outrage, but people are
more concerned with Gay marrage and trivial stuff like
softwood lumber. I was happy in the fact that Canada did not
have a jaundiced foriegn policy like the US, but now I see
that Canada could easly become a terrorist target because of
the change in attetude/policy concerning the deployment of
the military.

you shouldn't complain about your government spending too
much money on the military. i live in the U.S. the
government has already spent a few hundred billion dollars
to invade tattooine and then station kids there to get blown
up by suicide bombers on a daily basis. i only work
part-time right now because of school, so i can't complain
about paying for it really, but it worries me that in the
future my income tax could be paying for more pointless
"wars."

After the whole Iraq fiasco, I am so suprised that George W.
Bush has still got such a huge following. The American
media's slant has really shifted and you can find pretty
unbiased reporting without having to search too far(unlike
when Farenhiegt 9/11 came out)

But still he has millions and millions of supporters!

Go figure

and i enjoy living in seattle, far from any of them.

there has to be something wrong with the way you think when
you support most of the discisions he has made. when you let
your bias for 'moral right' or whatever bullshit supercede
the need for logical, practical choices concerning our
contry, something is wrong. now whether all the decisions
that were made were really Bush's or not is up for debate. I
don't think you can logically blame one person for all
that's happened during his time in office, but that's the
president's job- all the fame, all the infamy.

Well his administration then, he is the head of the Animal
called the United States of America and as such should be
held accountable.

what scares me is the stuff that's started to come out about
U.S. soldiers killing Iraqi civilians and stuff over
there... I know it's never going to happen, but i recently
read "ordinary men," a book about how German soldiers became
killers in WWII, and it just puts me on edge to think that
people nowadays can still kill like they did, even on a
small scale.

of course I can complain! even spending more than a hundred
kroner on our army is too much! and relative to the us
economy I don't know how much we spend in percentages, but
the government is spending too fucking much and I complain
about it to everyone as much as possible so that it may one
day reach the right channels.

his entire fucking administration should be forced to
personally lead a squad of g.is in real battle! and they
should have to do it naked right after having ingested a
laxative!

any army is that word monoid found on his "a word a wipe"
toilet roll; autopoetic! the presence of an army anywhere
produces the presence of an army elsewhere which then
"justifies" the presence of the first army because "you just
don't know what a country with an army may do" so one needs
an army to protect oneself from the other armies, but the
other armies are only there to protect themselves from the
other armies.

the reports on the news are getting stranger and stranger..
there was an interview with a guy who was just sitting by
the road with a huge american flag and then he said "our
boys couldn't have done such a thing, something must've
happened!"

yeah, something happened, and it was your "boys" doing "such
a thing."

the government (u.s and u.k) try to make you feel that your
'freedom' is in immediate danger of being taken from you.
think about all that "we are currently an 'amber' state - no
immediate danger... 5 minutes later... code red! code red!
grab your shotguns the suicide evil muslim bombers are
coming!"
fear is used to control. your fear means that they can
justify a war that never needed to happen. don't give me all
that crap about suddam being an evil dictator. since when
did the u.s ever care about third world countries anyway? i
mean look at mugabe for example. that weapons of mass
destruction was a load of bollocks too. iraq had no
intentions of attempting to take over america anyway. the
concept of that is utterly ridiculous.
