its something akin to remembering, like when you sit down and look through old photos or read old letters. its just looking back to the past.
for instance, if my dad pulled out a record he hasnt listened to in ten years, Id say he was being nostaligic :)

This may be seen as 'controversial', but for what he is,(ie a 'popstar') I think that Craig David is not half bad and definately far superior to the likes of N-Sync and that bitch Geri Haliwell. You may not like his style, but I think he is a genuinely talented bloke, and I caught a glimpse of his live show on MTV and it was surprisingly impressive.
PS - Can I just apologise on behalf of the UK for imposing Geri Haliwell and the rest of that Spice Girl Scum on the rest of the world. There are no excuses!

Nostalgia is an Italian word too. I have "NOSTALGIA" about my favourite video games for Commodore Vic20 like RADAR RAT RACE, CLOWNS and JUPITER LANDER.

Watching "thundercats" or "mask" playing old videogames, seeing old movies. Well, it's pretty obvious what we spent all our time doing when we were young. I was practically plugged in most of my life.

Ahh the good olll' days. One thing though: I find that as Nintendo put out newer systems, the games got easier! Every play Metroid on Nes then play it on SNES? Big difference, but still a great game! That reminds me, there are actually a few aphex tracks that i think would sound good in a metroid game!

That's just a case of over-exposure and can happen with any musician. I'm sure if you listen to nothing but Aphex for months, you would feel similarly in respect to him. Sometimes I think too much publicity acheive the opposite effect from the intended one. For example, a few months ago I thought that Jennifer Lopez was one of, if not the fittest bird around, then her face starts appearing on every poster, in every magazine and on the side of every bus in London and she starts pissing me off! What's all that about?!
Sometimes less is more........

Everytime I play old NES or SNES games, or watch things like the Transformers movie, and get melancholic... I'm happy and nostaligic, but depressed because everything was so innocent and easy back then.
