last night, aneurySm was walking down to his favorite pizza place down on the corner, when he noticed a snail on the sidewalk slithering towards the grass. he bent down to get a closer look and realized that this snail seemed very intelligent somehow... it seemed to have a spark in its eyes that no other snail he had ever met before possessed. so, aneurySm picked up the snail in the palm of his hand and began to pet it. then he decided to try and talk to it. at first, he made small talk with the snail as he caressed its glistening brown shell, hoping to discuss the weather and what it meant to be a snail on the sidewalk. the snail seemed very responsive. it lifted its head up at certain points as if agreeing with aneurySm about the clouds being gloomy and the moon being frightening and strange. excitedly, aneurySm laid down in the grass and stretched out. he began to ask the snail about music and if there was any such thing as snail music... having gotten comfortable with the snail, he told it very personal things about himself that he had never told another human before. it was a great relief to aneurySm to finally confess his darkest secrets, even if the only one who could hear them was a very quiet (but very intelligent) snail. the snail didn't judge him. the snail accepted him. hours passed by and aneurySm's soliloquy grew more philosophical and fragmented as he let loose every thought that came to his mind on the snail. this was a deeper friendship than he had ever thought possible with something other than a human being. he was so absorbed with talking to the little snail that he didn't hear someone approaching him on the sidewalk. it was roygbivcore, who was also planning on having some pizza. roygbivcore strolled up alongside aneurySm and looked down. surprised, aneurySm looked back up at him and leapt to his feet with a start. "hey dude," said roygbivcore, "hey what the fuck that's a snail, man." and then he walked away. |

i only went to the fest the day otto and richie were playing, otto hooked me up with a guest pass so i got free vitamin water which was amazing cause those may have been the 3 most exhausting/hottest days of my life. the loft parties were good too, i'm uploading the sets i played eventually |

saturday was great i didnt see many sets but hung out hada great time danced a lot sat because it was beautiful and nice breeze off the river. sunday was REAL bad ... i mean, 90+ deg, little breeze, i was sweating like crazy. they were charging tons for water , urg,, so terrible lots of good stuff partied too hard everynight (all morning) at afterparties sat night was good, saw magda/hawton at masonic temple (anyone come to detroit, NEEDS to go there, it's amazing wonder). and it was solid! (im not a huge hawtin fan) but this was good. sunday night kinda went ok, saw stacey pullen for a bit @ oslo and saw some other crazy cats at masonic temple (in another room than night b4 of course) and that went ok monday i was hit, too tired, and it was even more hot than the day before. was absolutely insane-hot. almost no-fun hot. stood for an hour of richies closing set on the main stage, then we all left. his set was boring as fuck same bass drops over and over, and the same fuking frequencies too on every track (the bass) i was like WTF drop it sub 30 for shits sake. yawn, it was shitty. hada great time but now that i look back on it i really didnt see too many full sets. good time but really exhausting. im still recovering even today. |
