Does anybody know how a trial version of software still
knows you've used up it's trial period, even after
uninstalling it?

For example, if I've installed some program that has a 30
day trial period, after the trial period, it asks for me to
pay for it to continue using it. even if i uninstall it,
and install a fresh copy, how does it still remember that my
trial period is up?

Does it hide something in my registry or something? i don't
like that much. hidden files on my machine.

anybody know?

i found it.
this particular program puts an info file in the Windows
folder.
so i guess there's a variety of places for these kinds of
things.

RegSeeker is freeware and awesome, this soft fixed

uninstalled soft also, eliminate all type of crap in the
registry.
