Jamie Liddell-FUCK THE HATERS!

I think he's great.
Some glam, some electronix, and technically good singing in
an unusual setting. ("Alternative" music with punky vocals
is so ten-a-penny these days.)
Supercollider were cool too, digging Prince way before it
was trendy again. I wish more musicians had this much
imagination.

love lidell his fusion of soul and electronic in multiply
was one of the most imaginitive things that came out of
2005... also his other electronic EP's really touched the
scource of what electronic music is for me.... allways enjoy
it :D

I really wanna see him live. That mix of pop and
experimental is always the most exciting thing for me.

Aw shit, i_x_ten likes him. There had to be a catch.
How many times a week do you change that avatar anyway? I
bet you spend hours posing for the perfect picture.

LOL

Warp isn't going mainstream.

This is a perfect example of how important the influence of
a DJ(platenplugger) at a radiostation is.

When I first heard Multiply I was really stunned about it,
Jamie showed his other side and I really liked it a lot at
first listen. I told my brother about it and I told him
something in the lines of "with the right promotion this
record could as well be played on the radio
". I said it
more to show how good the album really was and because this
always has been something that fascinate me..

6 months later my brother told me that a Dutch DJ suggest
people to call and vote for this record because he really
liked the song Multiply, it was a special Congo radiosession
where people could request a song and collect money for this
good cause.

And see what happens....
even Warp mentioned it at their site.
He has been in Raymann is Laat and also at Barend en van
Dorp, because of this he gained a superstar status here in
Holland.

If this DJ didn't stumble upon his record in the first place
it would never got this far.

*cough*

I can think of a few people that did the Prince thing way
"way before it was trendy again", including Prince, however
Jamie's music is alright in my book, for what it's worth.

i thought multiply was great, but now a dad likes it i'm
starting to wonder...same thing with hootie and the
blowfish. it sounded great, until the parents started to
like it too

lol
nevermind
be sure to check out the remixes y'all. herbert's hoedown
bump mix (the one WITH the vocals, which is NOT on the
recently released cd) is great!
