ok - "damned if i know" just basically means "i don't know!" :) i suppose it stems from some poetic play or something, where the secondary character is accused of being blasphemous and using satanic spells, and so says 2ndCHAR : sir! thou doest me wrong! may God in his Heaven damn me if i know of some such spell!! you know how these sayings get started huh? i suppose i just managed to confuse you again - sorry! |
