Lately I made a comeback with some Aphex Twin on vinyl...
so far I grabbed

SAWI
SAWII
Analog Bubblebath 1, 2, 3, 4
Caustic Window Compilation
Didgeridoo
Xylem Tube
On part 1, On Part 2
I care because you do
Ventolin 2xLP and the other 2 Ventolin LPs seperate
Donkey Rhubarb
Joyrex J5
Quoth
Richard D. James Album
Surfing On Sine Waves
Powerpill: Pacman

I also picked up a few Autechre LPs and Boards OF Canada
LPs... squarepusher too..

Any vinyl collectors around here anymore? Its been a few
years since I posted here....

Ventolin 2xLP and the other 2 Ventolin LPs seperate

What?

Ventolin came in a few variations on vinyl just like on CD,
Ventolin 2XLP is pretty obvious, its all the ventolin mixes
and the other two ventolin LPs are the ones with half the
mixes on one and the other half on the other... they were
sold seperately...

You mean you bought the gatefold sleeve containing both
singles... and then both singles again.

Everytime Ventolin is mentioned I have to say, the CD is all
at the wrong speed, some of the vinyl tracks I AM SURE play
at different speeds, they make far more sense some at 33 and
others at 45, I'll make a list... one day.

welcome back reflex!

nice stuff you've got there. i love vinyl. wish there was a
better shop around here though.

Yes thats correct.. thats what I did.... over the last year
I aquired both.

Yeah it sounds alot nicer on vinyl. As long as its clean and
the turntable is alright the sound is just great. I like it
much better than CD, that may be a personal preference
ofcourse but... vinyl is more fun. Thats why I went out and
grabbed what I could.. still looking for various others.

Nice to be back a bit here... I used eBay at a few other
places to grab these, I saw an actual vinyl copy of Analog
Bubblebath 5 on eBay it went for a few hundred US dollars...
too rich for my blood these days...

so far the most expensive one I got was powerpill pacman.

was it the 2x12 the US version vs the gatefold 2
part set from warp?

Sorry, using XLTs very own DISCOGRAPHY I see you're quite
right in that there's a couple of different Sire's editions
of Ventolin. AWESOME, we're all learning TOGETHER.

olin-0-66143-/-st-e-66143

http://xltronic.com/discography/release/368/aphex-twin-vent
olin-ed-5733

http://xltronic.com/discography/release/366/aphex-twin-vent

i've done that too, but i'm trying to keep myself from such
activites lately. i'd rather the vinyl, then rip it to cd-r
if possible.

reflex: just pointing out digeridoo for those who are
interested, i saw you already had it (nice!)

Take for example, one of my fave Aphex tracks, the
Crowsmengegus Mix, which I have here offered in low quality 45rpm
format (note that the "respect list" which comes after
sounds right, again at 45 rpm), and which sounds good, as
opposed to at 33 which sounds ropey.

hey man, you are quite right...something always struck me as
kinda funny with the ventolin eps, but i could never figure
out what. that sample you put up sounded awesome, and yes
the respect list sounded correct as well. i must get these
on vinyl to listen to them properly! good find belch!
